Tania Kuehn
I recently completed my training as an end-of-life doula through the Institute of Traditional Medicine (based in Toronto). From 2006 to 2012, I volunteered with the Shuswap Hospice Society; and in 2024, I cared for someone who had terminal brain cancer and passed away at home. I worked in a funeral home and a crematorium and took a funeral service program (Canadian College of Funeral Service) in 2011-2012. And these are some other not-so-serious things about me: I’ve always got a book to read nearby, I have a minor obsession with fancy soaps and greeting cards, and I can’t get enough of sitcoms like Seinfeld, Brooklyn 9-9, and The Office It is my hope to make the journey a bit smoother for those who are in the end stages of life -- and for those closest to them -- by using my training and my personal experiences to support them.
